Spring Wellness has both heated and non heated classes to suit each students needs and preferences. Hot
classes extends the ability of the ligaments, tendons and muscles as well as releases toxins, improve flexibility
and range of motion, increases the chance of weight loss, develops muscle tone and helps build the immune
system. Many believe that hot yoga exercise reduces the symptoms of certain chronic illnesses, such as thyroid
disorders, arthritis and circulatory problems.
"Yoga Flow" - connect your breath with movement in this flowing Hatha yoga class!
Asanas are blended together in different combinations creating a unique
experience each time you come in for your practice. Vinyasa's strength is it's
diversity--resulting in both an invigorating and mindful workout.
"Core Yoga Flow" - as Pilates has become recognized as an effective tool in
strengthening an individual's "core"--the muscles attached to your pelvis,
including the (in)famous abdominals and back extensors, the ancient practice of
yoga has followed suit. With a strong core, more intermediate postures such as
inversions (think headstands or handstands), arm balancing postures (think
crow) and backbends (think wheel) can be done more safely and effectively,
reducing the risk of injury. This vinyasa style class intersperses core work
between postures, creating a rigorous and challenging practice.
"Ashtanga Yoga" - The most athletic of all Yoga formats, the Ashtanga Primary
Series is a vigorous vinyasa-based flow through standing poses, seated poses, inversions, backbends, and hip openers. Dubbed
one of the best cardiovascular work-outs, Ashtanga Yoga will keep you moving, sweating and focused and leave you feeling
detoxified and energized.
"Detox Yoga" - Overindulged yourself lately? Then come take this Vinyasa style
yoga class! Detoxify and rinse the spine and organs through poses that
emphasize twisting! This is fun, fast paced class that really gets you sweating!
"Yoga Music Flow" - Get your yoga groove on with this fast paced, challenging
vinyasa-style class! Core work introduces the class, do-it-yourself sun salutations
to begin the flow and instructor will also introduce arm balancing! Music ranges
from reggae to rock to country and everything in between. Some classes will be
"themed" - from "one hit wonders" to "divas" to "british invasion"! A fun way to
take your yoga practice to the beat of life!
