Pilates Matwork:
full body conditioning class that focuses on the body's "core" (all the muscles attached to your pelvis including the abdominals and back muscles!). A rigorous combination of stretching and strengthening exercises. Instructors will show modifications to make the exercises easier or more difficult- this way you can progress at your own pace! This class is an ALL-LEVEL class and is appropriate for everyone!Specialized Mat Classes:
"Pilates Mat with Props" - Experience the intensity of mat Pilates you through an hour long circuit workout incorporating several props including the magic circle, thera-band, hand weights and foam roller. This full body workout will leave you invigorated! "Power Pilates"- This mat class focuses on teaching the original exercises developed by Joseph Pilates in a strict, classical manner-- -there are no changes in sequencing or the exercises themselves. Emphasis is placed on matching breath with movement to enhance the flow of the session. You'll be left with a solid understanding Pilates concepts and also completely covered in sweat by the class' fast pacing and high intensity
"Cardio Jumpboard Reformer" - 45 minutes of cardio interval training on the infamous Pilates Reformer! Horizontal plyometrics combined with traditional core-centric Pilates MAT exercises are guaranteed to shred some pounds and work your abs, back, arms, shoulders and more. Props such as weighted medicine balls, hand weights and weighted long bars will be incorporated to intensify your workout. ***This class is not to be confused with our traditional Group Apparatus classes which are 1 hour in length, limited to 4 people and use the Reformer's entire spring and pulley system, as well as the chair, tower and arc barrels.

"Pilates Yoga Fusion" - Love the traditional Yoga Poses that work your flexibility, strength and balance? But also love the dynamic core work Pilates is so well known for? This class combines both in the best possible way! Imagine Yoga Sun/Moon Salutations combined with the classic Pilates Hundreds Abdominal series and you get the idea-a completely invigorating, mind-body workout! Achieve that lean long muscular body by combining both practices simultaneously. This class is an ALL- LEVEL class and is appropriate for everyone!
"Pilates Energy Flow" - Pilates Energy Flow is a highly innovative class that combines and integrates classical Pilates matwork with yoga's lengthening, strengthening & balance training for a full body workout. Focus on mindbody connection and deep breath work. This fast paced class will challenge students of all levels. Hand weights and props such as Pilates magic circles and therabands will be used to increase strength and coordination.
"Wake Up Pilates Mat" - It's time to get your day started off on the right foot! This fun, invigorating Pilates mat class will focus on not only strengthening your core, but it's brisk pace and intense abdominal work will guarantee to get your both your mind and body awakened for the day. Leave feeling like you got a great, tough workout that will keep your energy level high so that you can accomplish whatever the day has in store for you. Props and even the Pilates Reformer Jump Board training will be added if class size is appropriate to give you that additional challenge. Get sweating and get moving!
"Pilates Apparatus"
- Experience a full body workout on multiple pieces of Pilates equipment! Includes the most popular piece of Pilates equipment, the Reformer, as well as the Tower/Cadillac, Spine Corrector/Arc Barrel and Wunda Chair! Class size is limited to 4 (the smallest group equipment class size available in the city!) in order for clients to receive personalized attention. Instead of just using your own body as resistance on a mat, the Pilates machines provide different degrees of resistance and stability via springs and pulleys! Yes, actual, coiled springs!group apparatus (all levels)- Increase your flexibility, strength, coordination and range of motion with this full body integration workout. Target muscles groups such as glutes, arms, legs without neglecting your core. A truly amazing and challenging workout that incorporates important, fundamental Pilates principles such as flow, balance and alignment. You'll leave feeling strong, lengthened and toned! Fitness innovation at its best!
group apparatus (intermediate/advanced) - Designed for strong, experienced clients only. Please note that instructor approval needed to attend this class. Advanced cueing given during the session. Hone your breath, rhythm and flow with more challenging exercises. Class can be taught at a faster pace or slower--- both focus in making your movements more precise and controlled. Props may be used to increase the level of difficulty.
